Sestina (storm)

Sestina (storm)

you can tell its coming and want to hide
you want to quickly turn
away, you stare down at the ground
hoping it will help, hoping it will leave
then try to run
with a loud shake you hear the thunder

the darkness sets in and the visibility leaves
you can hear the storm in turn
the steady ground
becomes shaky and the trees drop leaves
you stand there and stay but want to run
your feet tremble with ever crash of thunder

back and forth the lightning and thunder
compete, you try to hide
but are out in the open, you try to run
but can not get yourself to even turn
you want to move, you try to leave
it becomes impossible to even lift one foot from the ground

you can feel it now the ground
becomes more unsteady from thunder
you look around you at the crumpled leaves
dead across the ground, they hide
life beneath them, you turn
your attention to the sky, clouds run

across the black canvas, running
away hoping this storm will ground
the sunny day now quickly turns
darkened with the sounds of thunder
the friendly sun hides
waiting for it to pass and leave

you decide you to should leave
you try hard to run
find shelter, a place safe were you can hide
with your feet on the ground
you stand shaken by thunder
the rain begins seemingly its turn

-The Rain Came-(using fake words)

The rain came

The rain began to belter down with rage. The sad flower whiltered with sadness as the puddles began to fill. The yepallow knew its small stem would be too weak to hold. The stronger plants juckled as the yepallow began to weep. Its yellow pedals began to fall, approaching from the denched dark day a little boy walked up wearing a rain jacket. He knelt down and looked in a sympurl way and the tergal flower. From behind his back he pulled out a small jared shovel. He dug with beltiny around its roots and scooped the yepallow up. He carried the sad flower to his house and to his room. There by the widow sill sat a pot full of rich dirt awaiting a plant. The small boy placed the flower into the pot. From its new home the flower gazed out the smithered window and was filled with joy as it new it would now be safe.

Haiku's

-The sun shining bright
Leaving my cheeks sun kissed
Resting by the lake

-As I count down the days
While I put the black mark down
Sketching out my life

-Pulling my shoes off
I walk on the green carpet
Damp grass wets my feet

-The crowded hallways
Children are slamming lockers
Rushing to their class

-Growing up so tall
Leaving and waving me bye
Finding my own way

Villanelle

Villanelle
(no title yet)

I sit and think in the shade of this tree
I realize, then thinking I stress
What you really meant to me

Wondering how this came to be
Now so broken such a mess
How did this happen to me

You knew my favorite kinds of teas
My favorite color, my favorite dress
And even how I don’t like peas

Oh how I wish that I could flee
Escape this mess, be careless
Fly away like an angry bee

Why oh why must it be me
The smiles not real their just useless
Afraid the world around might see

I wish I could go back in time nerveless
Rewind and start back over fresh
I sit and think in the shade of this tree
What you really meant to me.
